Very popular with club members is the opportunity to become a qualified skipper and use the club boats for sailing on the Potomac, from the Washington Sailing Marina. SCOW does have some requirements for this priviledge.
Download Guidelines to Becoming a SCOW Skipper to help you get started. For more information, contact skipper@scow.org .
Every Wednesday evening starting May through September, we meet at the Washington Sailing Marina at 6:00 pm for informal races. We race the club's Flying Scots, but members also race their own boats. No racing experience is necessary and everyone is welcome to join in. Come on down and crew! SCOW also races it's two cruising boats in the Daingerfield Island Cruising Fleet race series every Tuesday evening from the third week in April through October.
A special note: The club provides training for SCOW MEMBERS only*. This page and its links are provided to inform SCOW members about the training available.
