Welcome to SCOW Social Activities

Social Sail

During sailing season (late April to late September), SCOW meets every Thursday evening for Social Sails at Washington Sailing Marina from 6:00PM to dusk.  Flying Scot excursions around the lagoon, accompanied by an on-shore cookout and socializing.  Potential members and guests are welcome to attend.

If your interested in hosting one of SCOW Social Sails, take a peak inside the
Social Sail for Dummies or the shorter version, Social Sails in a Nutshell, and find out how easy and fun it is! For those who want to make sailing buddies without exploring your culinary side, try volunteering for Dockmaster. Take the Dockmaster Rules for the Road for a spin to see what it's all about.

But what ever you do ... come on down!!

Social No-Sail

Replacing Social Sail during the off-season (December to April) are Social No-Sails. Events will vary. For more information, contact social@scow.org.

Monthly Membership Meeting

Our general membership meeting is held the second Monday of every month, except December, at Holiday Inn Alexandria 625 First Street Alexandria, VA 22314 (Hotel Front Desk: 703-548-6300). Socializing starts at 6:30 p.m. begins at 7:30 p.m.

These meetings are an ideal way for new and potential members to get familiar with the various activities offered by SCOW. Our meetings provide reports on all the goings on of the club. Additionally, each month, a special program geared to sailors is provided.
