Overnight River Event
Mattawoman Creek/Sweden Point,
with dinner at Tim's Rivershore Restaurant Saturday, August 9 - Sunday, August 10
Let's head down the river for some crab cakes!
Sail down and feast, sleep over and sail some more! What better way
to celebrate the lazy, hazy days of summer? Jack Weaver has volunteered
to serve as organizer for this event, and details are being finalized.
At Tim's, boats can either tie up at the dock or drop the hook and
take the water taxi ashore. After dinner, boats can either raft-up
inside the mouth of Mattawoman Creek or go into Sweden Point Marina
($1 a foot buys you a hot shower!). For further information,
contact Jack at longweav@juno.com. |

He served aboard the USS Taney at the Battle of Okinawa. He resigned his Commission in 1947 after three years of sea duty that included two voyages to the Far East and two to Europe.
