Flying Scots

Fleet 203  

Flying Scot Sailing Association (FSSA) Fleet 203, in the Capital District, is affiliated with the Sailing Club of Washington. FSSA Chartered Fleet 203 in 2014.  Initially, Fleet 203 consisted of three SCOW Board members as plank owners, along with five SCOW Flying Scots.  Going into the 2019 sailing season, Fleet 203 has grown to include six SCOW club owned boats plus eightseven private Flying Scot owners. Fleet 203 races with SCOW and in regattas around the Capital District.

Opportunities to race include:       

Wednesday Evening Races (5:30 pm at Washington Sailing Marina) 
Intended for skippers with some sailing experience, but racing experience is not required.
No sailing experience needed for crew.  Crews are formed on a pick-up basis on site.        

Series Racing (Sunday/Saturday afternoons on predetermined dates)
Intended for skippers with some racing experience. Wednesday night is a good place to gain that experience.

Team Racing  New in 2019. Flying Scot teams race against each other in 2 vs 2 action.
