The Sailing Club of Washington DC welcomes people who have never sailed, "old salts" who've sailed for years, and those who just enjoy socializing with sailors. Our seven boats sail from Washington Sailing Marina.
Learn to Sail
The Sailing Club of Washington excels in sailing education. Classes are open to SCOW members only. Learn basic sailing, racing, cruiser sailing, spinnaker, and more!
Our Fleet
Our Club maintains five 19' Flying Scots, one Catalina 25, one Catalina 250 and one Capri 25. Our members reserve and take the boats out for personal use, social events, and racing.
Get Skipper Certified
Pass your written and water test, get your safety certificate, and pay your one-time skipper fees for the year. Get certified to sail boats from the best-maintained fleet on our river.
Socialize with Sailors
Join us for great food and sailing at Social Sails that are open to the public every Thursday during the season at 6:00pm. Or, come hear speakers and socialize at member meetings and happy hours.
